John Mitchell - Blues in Britain

What do Dana Gillespie, Ian Siegal, Giles Robson, Big Joe Louis and Connor Selby have in common? Well, they are all featured on a brand new album from the always busy and enterprising Cinelli Brothers. A genuinely collaborative effort, No Country For Bluesmen has brothers Marco and Alessandro Cinelli playing thirteen originals with a who’s who of contemporary British bluesmen and women; the music ranges widely, from stripped-back to full big band numbers, touches of jazz, plenty of Rn’B and straight blues – it’s all on this album!

No Country For Bluesmen will be launched at a spectacular show 27 May at Nell’s Jazz and Blues in Kensington. Many of the collaborators on the album will be there and there is a great ticket/CD combo deal just for the launch show here

See you there!
